The classic board game “Monopoly” actually was conceived to inform people that Capitalism is shitty. Originally called “Landlord’s Game”, inventor Lizzie Magie patented it in 1903.
The object of the game was to demonstrate the machinations of greed that was making city tenants poor, then show a resolution through a Robin Hood-style tax based on Land Value.
The version we all know now excludes the “happily ever after” and just teaches folks what fun fucking each other over is.
And now they even got rid of the “Go to Jail” part!
